We the family of the late Eddie Grieve (RIP) wish to express our sincere heartfelt thanks for all the support, kindness, love and sympathy we received during the recent bereavement of our beloved partner, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Our heartfelt thanks to all the work colleagues who was alongside Eddie that morning, especially Stephen Mc Mullan who stayed with Eddie through his last moments and performed CPR until the paramedics and the emergency services came.
A special expression of gratitude is reserved for our extended family and friends, your unwavering support hadn’t gone unnoticed throughout the wake and funeral, and really has been invaluable.
Thank you to our friends, neighbours and the wider community who called at the family home, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, left refreshments and those who attended the wake and funeral, some of whom travelled great distances to be with us. We are forever grateful for your kindness and support.
We would also like to thank the Bradley’s, Pasty, Adrian, Shane, Kieran, Joe & all of their businesses for not only the refreshments for the wake and for providing the funeral teas and refreshments in Walsh’s Hotel, but for your kindness, compassion and generosity. We as a family will be forever grateful for everything that you all have done.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Paddy Doherty and Fr. Kieran O'Doherty for celebrating the requiem mass.
A sincere thank you to Hannah Ferguson for the beautiful music and singing at the funeral, the Kevin lynch band for the guard of honour and the piper who accompanied the funeral on Eddie’s final journey.
Thank you to the sacristan and eucharistic ministers.
We express our sincere gratitude to Michael and Nicholas of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors, for their dignified, compassionate, and respectful handling of their responsibilities throughout this challenging time. Your professionalism and care have been deeply appreciated by our family.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest gratitude.
